I’ve spent most of my life working outdoors and learning how natural systems function—from backcountry environments to managed landscapes.

I got my start growing up in scouting, where I developed an early respect for the outdoors and the role trees play in it. That interest carried into my professional life, working as a backpacking guide and later in horticulture with St. Peter’s and St. Louis County Parks.

More recently, I’ve worked as an arborist with an ecological restoration and land management firm, focusing on how trees interact with their environment and how to support long-term health—not just short-term fixes.

That background shapes how I approach tree care today.

I’m less interested in quick removals and more focused on helping people understand what’s actually happening with their trees—whether that’s stress, disease, structural concerns, or site-related issues like soil and root conditions.

My goal is simple: give you clear, honest information so you can make the right decision for your property.
